Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australia Win Second Test. DESCRIPTION: Rain again interrupted the Test Match but it wasn’t enough to save England from defeat. Bradman declared and left England to make 596 to win, but a disastrous innings meant defeat by 409 runs. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS queues entering Lord’s. Elevated GV queues outside Lord’s. GV inside grounds by Harris Gardens people sit around picnicing. CU people seated around pitch. MS Ray Lindwall bowling. Dollery clean bowled. GV Ian Johnson bowls & catches Coxon. GV Wright hitting a four. Cut-in crowds. Duke and Duchess of Gloucester meet teams, several shots. GV ground very good. SCU Don Bradman batting. Duke of Edinburgh stopped as he goes to enter members enclosure. MS Duke seated in balcony seats. Sidney Barnes scores his 100. Bradman shakes his hand.
