Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Racing at Sandown Park. DESCRIPTION: The second day of the Spring Meeting at Sandown Park drew racegoers in large numbers. Twenty four runners went out on the parade, for the new four thousand pound steeplechase for the Whitbread Gold Cup. Sir Winston Churchill attended the meeting. The winner was Much Obliged. Mrs Whitbread presented the trophy to his owner, Mr Draper. SHOTLIST: GV of crowd. Paddock. Walk round. Types. Bookies. SCU of Gold Cup and notice, reading Whitbread Gold Cup.
