MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Grand Prix (In Colour). DESCRIPTION: The Duke of Kent joined thousands of fans at Aintree for the 15th British Grand Prix. 75 laps to go, and 27 of the fastest cars in the world lapping them up. Among competitors, former world champion Jack Brabham (Lotus Climax); the current world champion, Phil Hill (Ferrari); Jo Bonnier (Porsche); Jim Clark (Lotus); Graham Hill (in one of the two BRM’s); Bruce McLaren (Cooper Climax); and John Surtees driving a Lola Climax. Jim Clark, the young Scottish farmer, notched the fastest lap and went on to win at over 92. Surtees took second place, and McLaren third. SHOTLIST: Key scene. CU Jack Brabham (former champion).
