MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: First Film of the Red Moon. DESCRIPTION: First pictures from a Czech Newsreel of Bleep, the Russian Red Moon. It’s described as a model of the Soviet Satellite, and has been on show at an exhibition in Prague, called Forty Victorious Years. Then the first films of the Red Moon, which were taken in Baltimore - and some in Sydney. SHOTLIST: Pictures from Czech newsreel. Commentary - First, pictures from a Czech Newsreel of Bleep, the Russian Red Moon. It’s described as a model of the Soviet Satellite and has been on show at an exhibition in Prague, called Forty Victorious Years. Observations of Bleep in flight have been made in many parts of the world - Pictures, too. Here, in composite story, are the first films of the Red Moon, as it travels round and round the Earth at about eighteen thousand miles an hour. Some of the film was taken in Baltimore - and some in Sydney. A fascinating glimpse of a man-made moon blazing the trail of outer space.
