Summary
COI synopsis: This week’s programme is about the detection of hidden objects. Objects hidden under streets, under mountains, even under the human skin. From the cosy warmth of a control van, a man detects a tiny leak in the maze of water pipes hidden beneath the streets. He attaches two microphones to pipes in the vicinity of the leak, which pick up its hissing sound. The one nearest hears it first; and discovering the time difference between the two pinpoints the hole.
