- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Scottish Fire Tragedy. DESCRIPTION: There was a fire in a bonded warehouse in Glasgow, a whisky fire, the third in just over a month. This one was by far the worst, because of the tragic loss of life among firemen and salvage men. Over 20 were reported dead or missing. The fire started at night, and most of these who lost their lives were trapped, when a violent explosion occurred, and walls collapsed. SHOTLIST: GVs warehouse in flames (11).
