Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Film Show. DESCRIPTION: A special performance of the film, The Last Angry Man, in aid of the Cinematograph Trade Benevolent Fund, took place at the Odeon Theatre, London. Outside the Theatre, the crowds ignored the rain. They were much too excited about the stars arriving: Charlie Drake, Kenneth More, Carole Leslie, Richard Todd, John Davis with his wife, Mylene Demongeot, Nancy Kwan, John Mills and Kim Novak. The royal party, Prince Philip, the Duchess of Kent and Princess Alexandra, arrived and they were received by Lord Rank and Sir Philip Water. After greetings and the ceremony of the bouquets, the royal party went upstairs. There, the stars were waiting for the honour of presentation.
