MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Prince’s Indian Tour. DESCRIPTION: The Indian Folk Dancing in New Delhi was one feature of the annual festival week celebrating Indian Independence. Then, Prince Philip paid two visits to the white marble building, the Taj Mahal, which was built three hundred years ago by the Mogul Emperor, Shah Jahan as the burial place for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Next to the Punjab, where, in the foothills of the Himalayan Range, a major work is in progress. Prince Philip came to see the hundred million pound power scheme and the great Bhakra Dam project.
