- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Taj Mahal. DESCRIPTION: The Queen and Prince Philip arrived at Agra, about 120 miles from Delhi to see the Taj Mahal, a poem in marble, as it has been described. Built over 300 years ago by Shah Jehan to commemorate his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal, it’s the most perfect symbol of a man’s love for a woman. When the somewhat sombre weather gave way to sunshine, the Queen was better able to admire the subtle textures of the marble and the graceful geometry of the gardens. An experience later to be heightened when she achieved the ambition of every visitor - and saw the Taj Mahal by moonlight. SHOTLIST: Fade key. LS Queen driving through Agra. CU policeman.
