- COI synopsis: Included in the Commonwealth Festival was a special exhibition of children’s art painted by 700 children from more than 30 countries. The Flying Bird is the emblem of this exhibition and was painted by a Hong Kong child. Seen through children’s eyes, such subjects as milk in Australia, playtime in Barbados, fishing in Brunei and the Solomon Islands and rainy days in Fiji and Nigeria present a fresh view of life in the Commonwealth.
