Summary
COI synopsis: For the first time the Commonwealth Arts Festival in London brings together the art, music and dancers from all the cultures in the Commonwealth. Yehudi Menuhin plays some of the classical music of the West. The orchestra from Legon University in Ghana performs Ashanti melodies on drums, flutes and xylophones. Asian music is improvised by masters of the tabla and the sitar and music of another kind from Gibraltar is played by William Gomez on the Spanish guitar.
