- COI synopsis: Epoxy resin combined with carbon fibre has the stiffness and tensile strength of steel with only one-fifth of the weight. This has caused a near revolution with sculptors, architects and aircraft builders, from cementing a crown of glass at the top of a cathedral to the grouting of a giant crane.
