Summary
COI synopsis: ... remember the misery of the plaster cast? British researchers have developed an ultra-lightweight plastic foam so that it can be moulded as casts for broke limbs and a multitude of surgical appliances from contoured hospital beds to footwear for underwater therapy. Michael Smee is a patient and actually enjoys wearing his plastic cast.
