Career

The Foreign Office sponsored several magazine series, produced by the Central Office of Information [qv]. These included: Transatlantic Teleview (1954-58); Topic, also known as Meet The British, (1958-59); British Calendar (1959-1964) and Roundabout (1962-1974), with the Commonwealth Relations Office [qv] and Colonial Office [qv]. It was amalgamated with the Commonwealth Affairs Office [qv] in October1968 to form the Foreign and Commonwealth Office [qv].
