Summary
NoS Summary - statues in concrete which are to decorate the exterior of a French church.
British Pathe synopsis: "A French Sculptor has perfected the making of Statuary in reinforced concrete, notably in the making of a novel cement church." L/S of a church under construction. C/U of sculptor standing beside a block of cement. "The cement is moulded in blocks in the ordinary way, but before it is set, the Sculptor is hard at work." Various shots of the sculptor chipping away at the concrete. He wears protective eye goggles. "No time must be lost, otherwise the cement becomes too hard." C/Us of two sculptors working on a carving representing a young boy in prayer. Various shots of carvings taking shape. "In this way - work which in stone would take months is completed in days - a tremendous saving." L/S of large carving representing Jesus which is situated over the entrance to the church. Camera tilts down to show other work in progress.
