Summary
COI synopsis: The Advanced Passenger Train is a totally new concept in transportation. It can travel at 250 kilometres an hour round all the curves and bends of a conventional rail network. The key to success is a revolutionary new suspension system that keeps the train firmly on the rails at ultra high speed. Gail Spiro visits the Rail Research Centre in Leicestershire for a sneak preview of the fastest train of its kind in the world.
Researcher Comments
Includes a brief interview with the project’s research director, Prof Alan Wickens, and footage from British Transport Films’ film "E for Experimental". NB: Information drawn from the Australian version
