- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: An Engine of Your Own!. DESCRIPTION: It was goodbye to The Flying Scotsman, the most famous engine of all time, built 40 years ago at Doncaster. Happily, the Scotsman’s not going to be scrapped, for she’s been bought by Mr Pegler, a Nottinghamshire businessman and railway enthusiast. He was on the foot plate for the final working journey from Kings Cross to Doncaster, the last lap in a lifetime which has covered well over 2 1/2 million miles. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
