Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Job for Life. DESCRIPTION: The higher you build, the bigger the window cleaning problem, but at this new skyscraper in Manchester, they’ve solved it with a mobile rig. Moved to any side of the building, it lowers and supports the cradles from which the men do their work. With a building of this size, window cleaning is certainly more than a day’s job - in fact, it’s a job for life! SHOTLIST: Key scene (fade out) pan up to building. (2 shots) crane on top of building. MS crane swings round to side of building. MS workmen in crane. CU roll of wire. (5 shots) men cleaning windows from crane. (5 shots) interior shot - men cleaning office windows. GV pan up building.
