Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Big Sit Down. DESCRIPTION: The big sit-down was organised by the Committee of One Hundred, and many thousands took part. Canon Collins (Chairman of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) was there as an observer, and over 1,300 are said to have been arrested. It all went on till the early hours.
