Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Norway’s Royal Wedding. DESCRIPTION: The Village Church of Asker, where, in spite of snow and freezing cold, people had gathered long before five o’clock the time of the wedding ceremony. Among a gathering of 500 guests were Princess Margaret and her husband. The wedding was conducted according to the ritual of the Lutheran Church, and when it was over, Princess Astrid of Norway and her husband, Mr Ferner, received warm congratulations from the spectators. The happy pair then left for the royal residence of Skaugum, where the wedding dinner was being held. Our pictures also show the very non-regal block of flats, where Princess Astrid and her husband will live for a month or so, till their own villa is ready. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
