MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pipeline Laid By Air. DESCRIPTION: Half a mile of pipe-line was to be laid across Cliffe Marshes near Gravesend. To save money and time, it was decided to use a helicopter for the job. The idea proved to be a great success: instead of a 10-day job by normal methods, the helicopter laid the pipe-sections, ready for joining, in about 4 hours’ flying time. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
