DESCRIPTION: Following our first pictures of the Hovercraft, we now give a close-up of this intriguing machine: it’s an experimental man-carrying craft, built by Saunders-Roe, called the SRN1. It is a British idea, designed and developed in Britain. Seen here is the inventor of the Hovercraft, Mr Cockerell and designer, Mr Stanton-Jones, while Test Pilot Peter Lamb takes the machine onto water for the first time.
