Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Colours Beating - Drums Flying [Sic]. DESCRIPTION: Royal Marines were on parade at Eastney. The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth presented the Freedom of the City to Prince Philip, Captain General of the Corps. Among Old Comrades attending the parade was Lieutenant Finch, who won the VC for conspicuous gallantry aboard Vindictive at Zeebrugge in 1918. After the parade, the march through the city, using their first new right and privilege to march with Colours flying, bayonets fixed and drums beating. SHOTLIST: March past (key).
