Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rescue By ‘Copter. DESCRIPTION: On passage from Swatow to Singapore, a Norwegian liner ran aground. But a helicopter from the American Seventh Fleet came to the rescue. American sailors, who boarded the liner, sent the Chinese aloft to the hovering helicopter. The ‘copter maintained a ferry service until it had transferred all the passengers. They were taken aboard the Seventh Fleet Flagship the USS Helena. SHOTLIST: MS Chinese children on deck. GV ship. Closer same. MS ship. GV same & helicopter.
