MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rebel Round-Up. DESCRIPTION: Electrified barbed wire is part of the French plan to prevent rebels from crossing into Algeria, from Tunisia. Contact with the wire gives the alarm, and French troops, sometimes using war dogs to track down the rebels, are quickly on the hunt. These are the first pictures of French troops in action, since General de Gaulle’s advent to power.
