Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Queen With Home Fleet. DESCRIPTION: Ships of the Home Fleet steamed out to greet Britannia who brought home the Queen and the Prince from Denmark. As the Fleet closed Britannia the ships fired a 21 gun salute, certainly a magnificent style for a Royal welcome home. Flying in perfect formation, aircraft then offered their salute. On board the Mine-layer Apollo, was the First Lord, the Earl of Selkirk and the Commander-in-Chief, Home Fleet, Admiral Sir John Eccles.
