Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gaza Strip Crisis. DESCRIPTION: Men of the UN Emergency Force awaited orders to enter the Gaza Strip, as soon as General Burns had completed arrangements for the temporary take-over. Israeli forces began their withdrawal from the area, which continued through the night. The arrival of UN troops overlapped their evacuation. Since then, anti-UN sentiment seems to have stirred up and Nasser has announced the immediate take-over of Gaza by Egypt. SHOTLIST: GV Israeli camp in desert (x2). MS General Burns.
