Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Boxing - Kelly V MCCarthy. DESCRIPTION: In Belfast, Sammy McCarthy of Stepney lost his British Featherweight title to Billy Kelly of Berry, who is also the Empire title holder, on points over fifteen rounds. SHOTLIST: KS McCarthy steps into the ring. GV the two boxers coming out of their corners. Various shots of the vigorous exchanges of punches during this 15 round contest. Last round effort by McCarthy. Kelly hand held high by the referee. Now to Kelly’s corner where a number of people including the press surge round the victor. Presentation of Lonsdale Belt, followed by a hug from the winner’s father Spider Kelly - ex champ.
