Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sutton Coldfield - Rail Disaster. DESCRIPTION: Help was quickly on the spot, when the York to Bristol Express was derailed in the closed Sutton Coldfield Station. The death roll was stated to be sixteen with over forty injured. SHOTLIST: A shot (GV) of the station and the wrecked coaches strewn all over the place, lying on their sides etc. CU of men using acetylene cutters to free some of the victims. Further general views of the engine being lifted from the track. Some night general views and close-ups.
