Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Film Show. DESCRIPTION: There was a great throng in Leicester Square, when Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Margaret went to the Odeon. Personalities of the Film World were presented to the Queen before the showing of Rob Roy. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Front of Odeon with title of film Rob Roy over same. Crowds outside same. Richard Todd arrives and enters. Glynis Johns arrives, waves to crowds. Jack Hawkins, Kay Kendall, Finley Currie into foyer. SCU Alec Guinness arriving. SCU Mr Adolph Zukor in foyer. Jeanne Crain arrives with her husband. Queen Elizabeth alights from car in front of cinema, followed by Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Margaret. LS. Royalty enter foyer. SCU Duke laughing, Mr Reginald Bromhead receives the Queen, also Mr Robert Wolff & Mr Arthur Rank. Personalities presented to Her Majesty. Anthony Kimmins, Gary Cooper speaks with Queen, Princess Margaret, GV laughing with the Duke of Edinburgh. Queen with Jeanne Crain, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, Glynis Johns and James Robertson Justice. Kay Kendall and Kenneth More. Dennis O’Keefe, Richard Todd presented. David Douglas-Morris presents bouquet to Queen. SCU Queen laughing. Mandy Milly presents bouquet to Princess Margaret. GV SCU Princess Margaret smiling. Queen, Duke and Princess Margaret proceed to theatre. Also seen is George Cole.
