Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Family Returns to Town. DESCRIPTION: Londoners were out in large numbers near King’s Cross to welcome the Royal Family back from Sandringham. With Their Majesties were Princess Margaret, Prince Charles and Princess Anne. Meanwhile, flying home from Malta in a Viking of the King’s Flight, Princess Elizabeth arrive at London Airport. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds outside Euston Station. Royal car passes through crowded street, carrying King, Queen, Princess Margaret, Prince Charles & Princess Anne. At Buckingham Palace, crowds outside, royal car drives in. Cut-in Palace with flag on roof. Later with Royal Standard flying. Slip-pan. At London Airport, Viking plane to standstill - SCU side plane, Princess Elizabeth alights, greeted by officials. Walks past camera to car, enters car. Several shots of her luggage, mostly flowers being put aboard another car.
