Horses racing round Tattenham corner, swing-shot. Various shots of crowds outside Epsom railway station, crowds flock to race course. GV racecourse. Crowd shots. Drive along course by Queen & Duke of Edinburgh. Queen received by Lord Rosebery. Queen Elizabeth-Queen Mother alights followed by Princess Margaret. Also present Princess Royal. Duke of Gloucester. GV paddock. Queen & Lord Rosebery walk to paddock. Queen shakes hands with jockey Carr, also Gordon Richards, Duke shakes him by the hand. Parade - Aurole No 1 parades. No 23 Pinza parades. Horses out of paddock, back view. Aurole little excited. Pinza parades. Cut-in royal box Queen, Princess Margaret leans chin on rails. Horses at start. Start of race. Swing shot. Horses round Tattenham Corner, Shikampur in lead, Pinza overtaking, only two in picture. Pinza out by himself & passing post. Led in, various shots of same. Richards dismounts in winner’s enclosure. Richards in royal box chats (silent) with Queen & Duke who both shake his hand. Richards on Pinza coming in, shows close-ups of Richards appears rather touched (emotional). As Pinza past winning post Queen jumps up & down, & waves her hands.
