Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Covent Garden Flower Show. DESCRIPTION: Mr Herbert Morrison opened the Festival Flower Show at Covent Garden. It was National Flower Day, and the magnificent floral scene at the famous market left no doubt about it. One feature of the occasion was the basket carrying race. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU pansies. Herbert Morrison arrives at the above, past camera, inspects various displays of flowers. Exterior - basket carrying contest, several shots of baskets falling off the heads of carriers. Into camera - one succeeds passing winning post without dropping; crowds watching race.
