Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: French Battle Rebels. DESCRIPTION: Artillery played a big part in the recent desperate struggle of French and Indo Chinese troops against the rebels. At one critical moment parachute troops were used to reinforce French units, cut off during the battle for Nin-Binh, some 50 miles south of Hanoi. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Artillery firing. Various angle shots of artillery firing. Parachute planes fly over & drop parachutes, dropping to ground. CU of them landing, some fall in water. Individual troops run forward through undergrowth & firing from kneeling position. Several fires in forest, troops run around. Troops run past dead soldiers - rebel. Several rebels surrender to French. Finish on French flag flying on top of rock.
