Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rain Curtails Silverstone Meeting. DESCRIPTION: In the final heat of the International Trophy Race at Silverstone, the race had to be called off, due to the heavy rain storm, in the sixth lap. Victory was awarded to Reg Parnell (in a Ferrari) who was leading when the race was stopped. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU wheel revolving. GV cars racing round course - dry weather. Raining - mechanics make their way about paddock, others look at their cars. Start of the Trophy (International) Race. Cars flash past camera, Reg Parnell driving a Ferrari shoots through field. Various shots of the cars racing in pouring rain. Into camera shots & out of camera shots. Chequered flag help up to stop race. Parnell gets out of car & shakes hands with an official.
