Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Boxing - Clayton V Phillips. DESCRIPTION: Al Phillips of Aldgate was defeated, on points, by Ronnie Clayton of Blackpool when he attempted to take Clayton’s featherweight titles of Great Britain and the Empire at the Nottingham Ice Stadium. SHOTLIST: Al Phillips comes out to meet Clayton, misses with a right swing. Clayton & Phillips exchange punches. Clayton takes advantage & severely punishes Phillips. Phillips down in 11th round. Clayton knocking Phillips all round the ring. Clayton wins on points. MS & SCU Clayton being presented with Lonsdale Belt, cut-ins crowds cheering, in sound.
