Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Catholics Celebrate Hierarchy Centenary. DESCRIPTION: A historical pageant performed at the Catholic Rally at Wembley, was seen by Cardinal Griffin (Archbishop of Westminster) and Cardinal Spellman (Archbishop of New York) as well as many other eminent leaders of the Catholic Faith. Solemn Pontifical Mass was celebrated in the Stadium and a broadcast in English by the Pope was relayed. SHOTLIST: KS. MS crowds with row of nuns in foreground. Pageant - St John Fisher taken away by Yeomen of the Guard. Cut-ins of Cardinals Griffin & Spellman. SCU ditto. Procession to temporary altar in centre of stadium. Elevated GV of stadium & crowds.
