Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Brm Wins at Goodwood. DESCRIPTION: It was Reg Parnell who drove Britain’s £200,000 BRM to victory in the Goodwood Trophy Race. The appalling weather was a severe handicap to all drivers and the powerful BRM, though unable to go all out, made-up for its recent behaviour at Silverstone and won by eleven seconds from B Bira (in a Maserati) at an average speed of more than eighty miles an hour. SHOTLIST: KS. Cars racing round track. Reg Parnell in BRM. Several shots. GV of cars at start. BRM lining up. Start of race. Various shots of the race including skidding completely round bends. Raining hard. BRM followed closely by Maserati driven by Bira. Chequered flag comes down for BRM. Parnell in pits presented with trophy, Parnell makes a short speech on winning.
