MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Labour Party Conference. DESCRIPTION: Most of the Labour Party leaders were of course present at the Jubilee Conference, which was held in the bracing atmosphere of Margate, where Mr Attlee received a great ovation. SHOTLIST: KS. Interior - MS platform. GV of hall - Winter Gardens. CU of Bevan, Morrison, Shinwell etc. Edith Summerskill, Sam Watson, the Chairman addresses the meeting. Members sing "For he’s a jolly good fellow". Attlee addresses meeting, saying that other countries are looking to us for a lead. Applause for Attlee. Denis Healey in background listening to Attlee speak.
