Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atomic Warfare. DESCRIPTION: The official story about Atomic Warfare is out - in a pamphlet issued by the Home Office. As you skim over its pictures, the grim possibilities of atomic attack fall into perspective. And the whole sense of the Home Office pamphlet is that, if the right plans are made, and the public co-operate, we may be able to reduce the danger of atomic assault to something supportable. Mr Chuter Ede, Home Secretary, asks the public to co-operate by joining the Civil Defence. SHOTLIST: KS. SCU book issued by Home Office. Hands turn over pages of book. Aerial of Hiroshima atom bomb exploding & mushroom shaped smoke rising towards camera. Aerial of mushroom shaped smoke.
