Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Vikings Invade Britain. DESCRIPTION: Landing at Broadstairs the Vikings who were celebrating the fifteen hundredth anniversary of their invasion of this country, were welcomed by a great crowd of holidaymakers and Prince Georg of Denmark. SHOTLIST: KS. MS Viking ship underway. Ditto. Elevated GV Broadstairs front with Viking ship approaching the beach. Crowds wave to ships as it approaches. Viking ship beached. Crew jumps ashore. Elevated GV crowds on beach, cheering, waving, children waving Union Jacks, etc. Prince Georg of Denmark greets them. CU ditto. Mayor of Broadstairs greeting Vikings. Autographs being signed by Vikings. Cauldron of mead brought ashore. Vikings drinking mead & dashing glasses down on beach. March through large crowds, fellow & girl in swimsuits try to photograph them.
