- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Dock Strike. DESCRIPTION: The port of London lies idle as the dockers staged an unofficial strike. At the Albert Hall there was an overwhelming vote to return to work, but outside the docks the vote was the opposite. Troops were brought in to move perishable food. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV ships at quayside. Several GVs of ships lying at quaysides waiting to be unloaded. GV Royal Albert Hall (good shots). Dockers leave Albert Hall. MS Mr Deakin walks out. CU Deakin. Elevated crowds of dockers at meeting in dock area. Several GV large crowd of dockers. Strike leader addresses dockers. Dockers raise their cards in agreement with continuing the strike. Troops on lorries out of Wellington Barracks. At the docks, several shots of troops loading lorries with cases of tomatoes from warehouses. GV ships in docks.
