- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Floods and Gales Add Their Havoc. DESCRIPTION: Floods continue to cause havoc in London, Tottenham Station was under water and the Lea Bridge Waterworks was contaminated. Gales also caused much damage to buildings. SHOTLIST: KS LPTB bus through flooded road pan. GVs of rows of houses, the streets flooded. woman leans out of window as milkman delivers milk on end of pole. Elevated shot of Tottenham Railway Station, flooded with water from River Lea, GVs of flooded station. At Lea Bridge Road, various shots of floods, people standing about. Shots of waterworks. Row of lorries loaded with water supplies. Local residents receive water being issued from lorries. Elevated shot of ruined roof of house, tilt down shows damage. SCU chimney stack, in room of house, gas oven and fireplace in background. Pan up to hole in roof, this being at St John’s Wood. At Walworth, shots of wall of house blown down by gale, exposing bathroom etc. Several angle shots of wreckage, name of public house being the Hour Glass. LPTB bus stranded in flooded road.
