- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bloemfontein Hails Royal Visitors. DESCRIPTION: Whilst staying in Bloemfontein the Royal Family flew to the Somerville Estate Reserve. At the King’s Park there was a Garden Party and they enjoyed the singing of two thousand children. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Elevated GV mounted police. Royal open car arrives, drives through crowded city, elevated shots of cars driving through narrow streets, crowds lining route. Crowds surge forward, old lady carried off fainting, another in the crowd faints. SLIP PAN At airport, GV of Viking plane, Queen and Princess Elizabeth board one Viking. King and Princess Margaret board another. Viking taking off, undercarriage takes, up and in flight. SLIP PAN GV & pan of Government House, various shots of garden party in progress, Royal Family mingle with guests. SLIP PAN, Royal Family stand on dais, cut-ins of crowds cheering. CU girl cheering. GV thousands of school children singing Halleujah. Royal open car drives through cheering crowds of school children on their departure.
