MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Churchill in Metz. DESCRIPTION: Mr Churchill keeps an appointment, made with General Giraud in 1942, that they would meet in Metz after the war. SHOTLIST: KS GV town of Metz looking across river. Churchill in grey topper and morning dress stands in square outside Town Hall. Cut-in of Guard of Honour presenting arms. Churchill walks to dais with Mary Churchill and Mayor of Metz. MS of them on dais and shots of troops in marchpast. Churchill taking salute, Randolph Churchill in shot. Interior - party seated at banquet table. CU General Giraud. Churchill SCU of him addressing in French. Exterior - crowds rush towards Churchill’s car to be stopped by gendarmes. Churchill stands in car acknowledging crowds cheering as it drives through.
