Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: FFI Fight for Paris. DESCRIPTION: This is the inside story of the men and women who fought so fiercely for the liberations of Paris. Streets were torn up to make barricades and the Police were formed into a battle unit. They fought from windows and roof tops and the battle was bloody. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Nazi flag flies from balcony. German signs in streets. Deserted streets. River and LS bridge. CU man & woman listen to radio. Tearing down German posters. Fell tree. Build barricades. Women & children help. Notre Dame seen from window. Shot of Hotel de Ville. TS Parade of Gendarmes. Shot of Monsieur Loisat goes upstairs (interior) & greets various patriots. Typist - office etc. German tanks along roads. FFI fire rifles, Red Cross ambulance. Nurses, stretcher bearers, Red Cross in action, etc. Attending wounded on ground - CUs fairly ghastly. German wounded. Prisoners brought in. Lorry along road. Man throws something from window. Petrol lorry catches fire. Burning men jump from same. German on ground - bullets burst around him. Hit. Arms & ammunition taken from him. Street fighting. Firing from barricades. French flag on mast.
