- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Empire Premiers Assemble. DESCRIPTION: Premiers from all over the Empire arrive in London for the first Imperial Conference to be held during the war. New Zealand’s Premier, Mr Peter Fraser arrived after a 12,000 mile flight. Canada’s Mackenzie King, Field Marshal Smuts and Mr Curtin of Australia were among the many delegates to gather at No 10 Downing Street. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Liberator landing, Waaf signals same into position. Mr Peter Fraser out of plane greeted by Mr Jordan. CU Fraser, with his wife. CU Fraser speaking for the mike. Mackenzie King out of plane, greeted by Vincent Massey. CU King also making speech about conference to come. MLS Smuts with crowds, background "York" plane.
