Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gun-site Get Together. DESCRIPTION: British and American Ack-ack Units have been operating a scheme where they exchange a certain number of officers, NCO’s and men. Both sides have benefited from this co-operation. SHOTLIST: Cut story - American soldiers arrive at camp, British soldiers assist them off lorry. One American is shown to his sleeping quarters by Britisher. GV of canteen shows British & Americans eating. GS of Major MY Corke (Royal Artillery) addressing the Americans on the joining of the unit, camera pans along group. GS of mixed crew stand by 3.7 gun. Crew numbers, run to their positions on gun, go through gun drill, orders being shouted, also crew answering "On bearing", "On fuse" etc. Various shots of crew at gun. Order of "fire" given. British & American soldier, the Britisher smokes a cigar. They then exchange views, the British soldier speaks with American accents, the American with a British accent. Both shake hands. Pan down to them shaking hands.
