MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Prisoners Exchange - Barcelona. DESCRIPTION: Another exchange of prisoners has taken place, this time in Barcelona. Many of the wounded were men from the Dominions who had fought in Greece and Crete. The Spanish Red Cross assisted with the exchange. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GS of Barcelona Docks shows German & British Hospital Ship in same. German repatriated POW on deck-side, also looking out of portholes. Stretcher being slung over side of ship onto quay, another being placed on quay by Red Cross Nurses (male) Germans disembarking from ship, GS of German Ambassador with Spanish Diplomats. CU Africakorp armlet, more Germans disembark. Aussies, New Zealanders, Indian & other Dominion troops disembarking from ship. CU Red Cross armlet, stretcher case being carried off ship down gangway. Various shots of Colonial troops with Red Cross nurses. Sir Samuel Hoare & Lady Hoare mingle with our troops, various shots, also talking (silent) with several stretcher cases. Troops embarking, past Sir Samuel Hoare & wife & up gangway, GS of Ensign. GS of our troops on deck-side. Finishing on troops on deck in fore looking at Barcelona in background.
