Summary
Pathe synopsis: Off on a pioneering course with well-known Ross Salmon, the boys of Mount House School at Tavistock, in Devon, learnt the art of cooking without utensils. Eggs poached in orange skins, fish steamed in newspaper - and no washing up. Highlight of this cookery course with adventure thrown in was "Monkey’s Delight", a flour and water mixture wrapped round a stick and cooked over a fire. In schoolboy style, you can stuff all sorts of things in the middle, bananas, jam, any old thing, and still be sure of rapturous munching noises from your clientele.
